Fiesta Flowers
How cool are these colorful handmade flowers.
These are from Martha Stewart's web site. You can get the How To's for making them here. Cathy of California also sells vintage kits so make these here.

Skate-able Street Furniture
I was perusing a trend email I get and saw this article on a Industrial Design web site about furniture that is built to be skateboarded on. Jurjen Semeijn, designed these pieces for Dutch Design Week 2009. Well this rang a bell in my world. My son Nolan had a ramp in his living room for awhile and we have big half pipe in our backyard. Skateable furniture would definitely fit in my world. I think some pieces like these would be great at local parks or street scapes here in SoCal. This concepts embraces that skaters are going to skate it instead of putting skate stoppers all over things, make it Skate-able street art. I love the concrete sofa above, hope we see more of this.

Glamour Living Room
Love this glamourous neutral living room from Z Gallerie. Looks so old Hollywood to me. And I just recovered my sofa in a material that looks very similar to the one used on these pieces.

Shapes of new decade
I am seeing a trend towards shapes like these mirrors for the new decade. I love these complex shapes. The feel Moroccan to me.
I also love this grouping of various sized round mirrors. Has a port hole effect.
Both are available at Viva Terra here.
