Vintage Kokeshi Dolls

I just love these. Photo is from Picnic by Ellie. I am putting these on my list of things to keep an eye out for at my favorite thrift stores. I found a web site here where you can buy vintage or new Kokeshi dolls.

Prizes from Fiona....

One of my favorite blogs is Cafe Cartolina
I just love her taste. She picks wonderful images and style that I feel is very in sync with my own style. I entered one of Fiona's contest and won some of her great products. I love her notecards and idea books. Fiona's husband is an illustrator too. So I believe they are a team effort like Brad and myself.
Much Thanks Fiona.

Alicia & Ginger welcome you to their inspiration blog

This is the online studio for the creative inspirations that this mother and daughter duo encounter. We will document our journeys and visions. The wonderful photo above is a piece we came across from an article in Sunset Magazine that featured the store Goldbug in Pasadena. After seeing the image Alicia's wheels started turning with all sorts of assemblage art ideas.

And so begins the assemblage art journey.

Soon after discovering Goldbug, another terrific artisan, Katie Runnels of The Constant Gather came across our trail. We love the assemblage pieces that Katie puts together; and the name of her site is so fitting. We find ourselves often in that same situation.
