Rolling Huts | Cool Mini Spaces
My Mom and I were catching up over the weekend and she was telling me about some great small footprint buildings that she had seen recently. And I was telling her about how I was perusing the new Sunset Magazine and came across these fabulous Rental Cabins. Mom knew about them and said they were done by them same architect, Olson Kundig Architects. The rental cabins are in the Methow Valley in Eastern Washington. You can find more info on RollingHuts.com. The article she came across was in Seattle Met.

Have you seen Lonny Magazine ?
I am an avid paper magazine reader and subscriber. But I also love this new magazine Lonny that is purely digital. The magazine is interior design and personal style. I love the presentation of the magazine and it's clean style works well for me and I love that it has hyperlinks so I can click right thru to web sites and such. Now if only I had an I Pad to view it on.

My New Favorite Artist - Tamara De Lempicka
This weekend I went to the Palm Springs Modernism Week. It was a fun excuse to go to the desert for a day trip. I had never been, and wasn't sure what to expect. Overall the show was good. It wasn't super huge but a lot of quality retro modern pieces. There were a lot of dealers with wonderful collector pieces. I was pleasantly suprised to see all the wonderful jewelry that I had new idea would be there. My favorite discovery was coming across this booth by DK Art Publishing, who had all these wonderful prints by Tamara De Lempicka. I love her art. My favorite is the Autoportrait. I think the subject in the painting has an uncanny resemblance to Uma Thurman in Henry & June, which is my all time favorite movie. I love coming across something that is very inspiring and her work did it for me.

My favorite piece in the room is the great desk that papaya created. I love the pattern the CNC'D into the wood panels. Great Job Papaya.
